Adopting Managed Services 

So how do Cantono ensure a smooth transition to our fully managed service, so that you start to see the benefits immediately, free from “teething troubles”?

Each transition is handled as an individual project, delivered by our most senior network architects and engineers. Each new customer is assigned a project manager from the outset. 

Each transition project can be broken down into three main stages; Information, Execution and Delivery.

During the Information stage, our Service Delivery Team complete an exhaustive analysis of your existing network, its applications, security, communications infrastructure, business continuity plans, data back-up processes, usage policies, hardware deployed and end-user configurations.

Once the Information stage has been completed we share our intended project plan with you, and agree the timescales and parameters on which the project will be implemented. At this stage you will have a clear view of how long the project will take, and we will continually update you going forward.

The Execution Stage is where the agreed project plan is delivered. In most cases the customer will see little activity on–site, with nearly all the tasks being performed at the data centre. Once the infrastructure has been implemented and the telecommunications have been installed at the client site, a comprehensive testing process will begin, giving the customer the opportunity to view and evaluate the service offering. Once these steps have been completed successfully, the project will progress to the final Delivery stage.

At the Delivery Stage the service will be running live from our data centre to your end-users. From the day the service goes live we will have support engineers on-site (typically for the first few days) in order to ensure a smooth transition, and to help to show your users how to access the Cantono Managed Services Support Facility, should they need to.

Where the agreement entails taking on existing staff, the Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations (TUPE) procedures will be followed.

Shortly after each new client goes live, there is a formal hand-over to Cantono. From that point onwards there will be regular Service Delivery meetings with each customer in order to track and monitor service delivery.
